If there’s something that characterises contemporary photography, it’s the intersection and crossing borders of narrowly-defined genres and also the evening out the surfaces of so-called high and low art. Together with a large interest in a natural, would-be amateur aesthetic (this concerns, for example, lo-fi photographs created by cameras made from artificial material and dated film or photos from mobile telephones) photography bordering between fine art and commercial has increasingly been brought to the fore. This, on the other hand, surprises with its technical brilliance, complicated arrangements, perfect lighting and sophisticated hyperbole, which all use the viewer’s experience with visuality in both areas.
