We have recently witnessed an alternative development in conceptions of utopia—through a transformation of the present and an attempt to divert us from the trajectory headed for apocalypse. The following text explores new models of everyday utopias presented by a number of individual theorists but also by entire movements, and the Futurefarmers collective in particular. They search for utopias not in a constructed future but in symbiotic interspecies relationships in contemporary everyday life.
