It's Buildable 2020

Oskar Helcel’s diploma project combines two ethically controversial phenomena of the present: the uncontrollable growth of globalized capitalism and the question of our digital identity and its possible misuse. In Helcel’s work, both topics meet in the person of the late architectural superstar Zaha Hadid and her project for the Penta development group next to Prague’s Masaryk Railway Station, which has undergone several revisions and postponements since her death, thanks to many public remonstrances. The result is an atmospheric video in which the virtual reincarnation of the “starchitect” wanders helplessly and tragically through an abandoned construction site between weeds and hares.
