The works of Věra Stuchelová thematise above all memories or acts of conciliation that link the photographs with the vanished image of both near and
more distant past. In her series Private Space, a diploma work created in the studio of Veronika Bromová at the Prague Academy of Visual Arts, Stuchelová
presents experience as a gradual gathering of splinters of everyday sights into the cosy frames of black and white photography. Her photographs as it
were try to influence the direction of the possible course in life, an acute encounter turns into a subconscious grasping of things. Thus reconciliation can
turn to objects seen repeatedly, or even newly – by encountering them in “intimately“ known places, in an expected concrete position or situation.
