Plane Dreams
This photographic publication by sculptor Rudolf Samohejl introduces the narrative of the “creative energy” of an oil platform in Norway. The book develops the story on the background of a mix of snapshots and documentary images of the author’s sculptural practice using glued-in lips (as signposts guiding you through the author’s sculptures) and comic-book bubbles which narrate the story in various languages. The book aspires to being translated into all the languages of the world, and what’s more, its story can be developed or told in an entirely different way by sending it to the e-mail address found at the end of the book. Thanks to this openness to narration, an entirely new edition can be created, one which will doubtless harbor ambitions to become an international bestseller.
