Project
Metafont, Dušan Zahoranský
For some years now, I have been collecting situations, where text and public space intersect, comment on one another, or cancel one another out. A standard method of collecting random material. Based on these photographs I sometimes produce other objects, drawings or installations. The working definition for my found images is metafonts, which I then assign various titles. In the course of documentation I observe the original message changing in time, as the aesthetic, the material,
or both continue aging. The end result is essentially a report on the temporary nature of meaning and the transformations of the context in which the original message was cast into public space.
