Jan Tichý
Jan Tichý at MoCP Chicago
The permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago encompasses nearly 11,000 works of art. In 2011, in an effort to map this considerable and eclectic landscape, the museum commissioned artist Jan Tichy to delve into the collection and to produce an exhibition. The result—titled 1971:1–2012:21: Jan Tichy Works with the Collection, to reflect the accession numbers of the first and most recent photographs to enter the museum’s archive—was presented at the MoCP from October 12 to December 23, 2012.
