Hynek Alt and Aleksandra Vajd, are not only a Czech-Slovenian collaborative artistic team within the medium of photography, they are a couple in life as well. They were in charge of the workshop course Photographic Author’s Book during the 2002/2003 school year at FAMU, Prague, where they also completed their Master’s degrees in Photography. From September 2004, they will spend a year-long study and research period in the USA as recipients of the prestigious Fullbright fellowship. Alt and Vajd display on their CV’s an impressive number of solo shows and group projects, together with a remarkable list of awards, recognitions and collaborations, and they are only in their thirties.
