Door to the Sea

This has probably happened to you already – you are waiting at your gate at the airport, and across from where you’re sitting, you notice a large format photo wallpaper depicting a dewy vineyard in the morning sun or a deep, leafy forest with not a single person in sight. A paradoxical situation is thus created in the airport environment, the symbol of over-engineered global civilization. We aim to be in tune with nature (and interior designers know this well), yet we voluntarily travel halfway round the world in order to enjoy nature for just a few days.
