For me personally, your name was a new discovery thanks to the article in European Photography in 1995. I thought to myself, a Czech émigré, she probably doesn’t know where she belongs anymore; she’s looking for her roots, like so many others in the world … But even back then your photographs made an impression on me; although seemingly banal, I couldn’t get them out of my mind. They had a nostalgia and tenderness in them that I understood.
