The long and complex history of the photographic medium’s use in political and social propaganda raises many questions. How can we avoid loosing contact with reality in a world of information-channel networks? Is it possible to help people using only a ray of light? Is it possible, some fifty years after the Family of Man, to pursue humanist photography?
