Neozoon, founded in 2019 in Berlin, is an anonymous collective of female artists. The members share an interest in therepresentation of the human-animal relationship, animal rights activism as well as the paradigm shift in the sciences towards non-hierarchical human-animal studies. By mostly employing amateur videos from YouTube, Neozoon’s video works reveal paradoxes of anthropocentric cultural norms. They deal with contra dictions in our daily contact with animals in language, practise and with the representational medialization of these interfaces.
