Tightrope walker on a carpet

She just lies there, embodies the whole of art history stuffed onto two floral chairs, she is shamelessly exposed and accessible to the fantasy games of whomever looks at her: the scandalous Olympia of Édouard Manet. It is of course Manet bathing in the bubble bath of Bettina Rheims‘ feminism. That woman is exposed at the groin and we look at her in a dubious, darkened backroom.
