Pigeon-holing, specifically as concerns technique, not only does not pay off in the case of Michal Pěchouček, but is also essentially a battle lost from the start. He himself speaks of how he set the basic premise for his works as multi-facetedness and free movement across media. And when looking at the results of his work over the past fifteen years, there’s no reason not to believe him. Not only is Michal Pěchouček able to bring to life his own original technique and develop it on a style-creating level (which is difficult), but he is also able to abandon it after time (which is even more difficult). A more challenging grasp based on extension is one of the most typical things for him.
