A list of names and events, of an implicit significance. Fortunately for me (being straight, born in 1975 and living in London) apart from Oscar Wilde my only other point of reference is the figure of Harvey Milk, based on Gus Van Sant’s eponymous film recounting the story of the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California.
