George Hladík
After completing digital media studies at J.E. Purkyně University’s Faculty of Art and Design in Ústí nad Labem, George Hladík (1982) switched to Veronika Bromová’s New Media School at Prague’s Academy of Fine Arts. Hladík creates impulsive conceptual art using a computer, photography and especially video – typically in order to document his performances, which may take the form of purely private events or rituals (My Physical Passions, 2004) or sociological surveys (Hyper!, 2005; RTV – real television, 2006; Welcome to Our Home, 2008).
