The project Visual Equilibrium restores the value of the original by defeating the purpose of digital photography’s reproducibility. It aims to fi nd an artistically legitimate way to create a unique (unreproducible) image, still based on the essence of photography. Therefore, the project affi rms the value of originality as well as the aesthetics of image. In other words, it creates a balanced relationship between the original and its image, which I call, “Visual Equilibrium.”
