In some social circles, a car is as much of a fashion accessory as an expensive handbag. If you have enough money, everyone expects you to invest in an expensive car to prove your wealth. In other words – you choose a car that (ana)logically matches your standard of living… your social status. You want to use your car to show who you are, or at least who you would like to be.
